The Salar de Uyuni is located in Potosi (Bolivia) and is with its 12,000 square miles the largest salt desert in the world. Only the surface crust is about 10 meters deep, but is estimated to contain 10,000 million tons of salt, which is composed of about 11 layers with a expesor ranging from 2 to 11 meters.
But despite the inhospitable place during the month of November nest and breed in it three species of flamingos, and the largest islet in the center of the salar, we can find cactus up to 10 meters high.

The Salar de Uyuni, is considered one of the most spectacular places on Earth and is one of the main tourist destinations in Bolivia.
In this environment, whose beauty makes it a strategic point to admire breathtaking sunsets and sun, is the rustic Palacio de Sal, a hotel whose uniqueness is that it is built almost entirely of salt, walls, floors, tables ... and to the beds!.

The hotel has a golf course, unique in the world on hard surface of salt, at 3693 meters above sea level, with nine holes, par 36 and 3601 meters in length. We also find a spa with a saltwater pool for treatment of lithium therapy.
