Earning money while traveling.

Saturday, May 7, 2011

When we decided to take a year off to travel or make a long trip, one of the problems that often occurs is that of money.

If we decide to embark on the adventure, it is important to plan things and have a set budget, but still many times the money runs out and forces us to go home.

Many people, in order to continue with the trip, decided to stay a while in one place and find a temporary job (waiter, etc.) with which to follow the path, sometimes even come to work, for instance in return for accommodation.

In the era in which we live is very common for travelers to have a blog to tell their adventures and misadventures, either in order to keep friends and family or to get some benefit, but ...

How can we get benefit to a travel blog?

The most common method to monetize a blog is to charge for advertising, and this can be done in several ways:

- Google Ad Sense. Today I think is the best option. You get paid at the time your account reaches the payment threshold, which is 70 €.

- Advertising platforms. There are several options that you can put up. Companies hire advertising with them and they will pay you, although there are some that do not inspire much confidence in the issue of counting clicks ...

- Programs attached. This is put a company banner on your website and charge a commission for sales that will come through your page. Some companies have attached program through advertising platforms and other companies as " Catch "or "Hostelbookers" do directly.

- Contact the companies directly and offer to advertise on your website.

Another option to earn some money, telework, or work online. This depends on the skills you have, but you can offer your services such as travel photographer some magazine, writing a book, make translations, making websites, proofreading, writing in a blog, or if you pack do administrative work such as "virtual assistant", or whatever it is, remote secretary. There are sites like Freelance Work you can sign up and apply to offers that are of interest.

There are also companies that pay you to answer surveys, read email, etc. But keep in mind that nobody gives money for nothing ... There are ads that say you can earn lots of money simply by transferring money from one account to yours and then another ... (it's amazing that there are people who fall into this, but there is one) so you must confirm before the reliability of the company as much scam out there ...

* Important. Never, never contestéis a job in which you ask for advance money to work.

Among the companies that pay you to do small jobs on the internet, is Microworkers , even if you pay in USD, and to do anything with them is necessary to know English.

Do you place more ways to earn money while traveling?

Well, for your information, flights, depending on origin and destination are classified into three groups: "Schengen", "non-Schengen EU" and "Third countries".

Countries that have signed the Schengen agreement are:

Hand baggage: As compliant AENA on liquids.

Wednesday, May 4, 2011

Although the AENA rules on liquids in hand luggage carried into effect some time now and we've talked about it on occasion (in the post about how to save money when traveling with Ryanair ), it is worth to remember this, since many travelers do not have in mind when traveling and passing security checks are unpleasant surprises.

According to AENA, the liquids that go in hand luggage must be in containers of no more than 100 ml and placed in a bag or cosmetic bag system provided transparent opening / closing and not exceeding 1L capacity.

Passengers must obtain such bags before the start of your trip and the contents must fit comfortably within it, to be able to close completely. If we are to check luggage, these measures do not affect us, as the vanity can go smoothly in the suitcase in the hold.

For the purpose of these measures are considered liquids:

Water and other drinks, soups, syrups.
Creams, pastes (including toothpaste), lotions and oils.
Perfumes.
Gel, such as shower gel or shampoo.
Contents of pressurized containers, including shaving foam, other foams and deodorants.
Aerosols.
Any other item of similar consistency.
• Liquids should be used during the journey, whether due to medical requirements or special dietary needs, including food for children.

When required, the passenger must show the authenticity of the liquid.

To many people, this legislation is a real problem it gives them a lot of headaches, but the issue is not as complicated as it sounds.

But then ... What do I do with toothpaste, shampoo, etc, etc?

Definitely one of the greatest pleasures that we have when we visit Madrid is tapas, but also do it in a glass and iron structure built in 1916 (somewhat reminiscent of the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris ) and home to one of the few covered markets in the city, greatly improves the experience. The Mercado de San Miguel is located on the square of the same name, in one of the most emblematic areas of Madrid and more tourists.

But ...

How a market cap?

Yes, as the name suggests, the Mercado de San Miguel "was" and "is" a market, but also the distinction of being an entertainment area where you can buy the food that we tasted in any of the 33 "seats" sales and take her to the area enabled to eat.
