What I take from trip

If you prefer to travel independently or if we were lucky enough to find places for the time and travel destination in Imserso, we should not resign because there are many cheap travel for older travelers. We should note that many tour operators (such as Soltour or Iberojet) offer special discounts for seniors and offers that come out cheaper than staying home.

- Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza. Although the Balearic Islands is a destination that offers Imserso usually, we can visit for free welcoming us to the multitude of offers available and for a while broader. A week in Mallorca in October at 3 * hotel on an all inclusive cost around € 350.

- Canary Islands. With the Canary Islands is the same. Flights from the mainland every day and charters that failure to fill the remaining places offered. A good opportunity to enjoy the good weather throughout the year.

- Cruises. The days when cruises were a luxury available only to a few have passed into history. Today cruises are very affordable and also shipping companies offer special discounts to those over 60 years. Some offer special cruises to destinations and the 3 senior at certain times and we can enjoy for about 500 € for one week cruise ships like the MSC Orchestra, which is a floating jewel.

As every year, the State Administration, through Imserso, part of its policy of active aging, promoting a social program aimed at seniors holidays, with the objectives of facilitating the integration of this group to the flow of tourists, while to mitigate the impact on employment in the phenomenon of seasonality in the tourism sector in the country.

Imserso now open for applications for accreditation from the holiday program for seniors for the season 2010/2011.
